Mission and Approach

Children at the centre: we look closely at what interests and moves them.

Situation-based pedagogy: children at the centre

Our kita revolves around children's experiences! We look closely at what interests and moves them. Instead of rigid rules, we rely on real experiences. This way, little ones learn playfully and individually. We accompany them on their adventure of growing and discovering.

Our educators are like detectives: they observe, listen and explore what occupies the children's minds. Perhaps they're building a sandcastle empire right now, or fascinated by a line of ants. We use this enthusiasm for our projects. When children tell us about an exciting experience, we dive into the world of imagination together. We paint, craft, sing and play – always fitting the moment.

The situation-based approach is like a tailor-made suit for every child. We take their individual needs, talents and interests into account. It's not just about knowledge, but also social skills. How do you share the sandpit? How do you comfort a friend? Children learn this in everyday life, playing and communicating with one another.

Our kita is a place of wonder, laughter and growing together. We're proud that every child is at the centre of what we do.

Literacy: reading and writing for everyone

Our kita revolves around pictures, words and language! Literacy – the ability to read and write – is like a magic key that opens doors!

We accompany children on their journey through the world of letters. Together we discover books, stories and poems. We paint letters, build words and invent our own stories. Because literacy is more than just stringing letters together – it's the joy of expression, curiosity about the world, and the ability to share thoughts.

In our cosy “green meadow” corner, we snuggle up together with a book. We listen to the adventures of brave heroes, learn about animals and far-away countries. And when children write their first own words, their eyes light up with pride.

Literacy is the key to education, imagination and self-confidence. We're proud to share this treasure with the children!

Psychomotor skills and sport: moving together

Our kita revolves around psychomotor development – an exciting term for the connection between body and mind.

Psychomotor development means that we support children's perception and development through movement. When they balance, hop or climb, they train not only their muscles but also their thinking and feeling. It's like a dance between body and soul.

Our movement games are more than just fun – they're learning adventures! We build obstacle courses, juggle balls and play fun movement games with music. In doing so, children learn to concentrate, overcome fears and recognise their own limits.

Sport and movement are like fresh air to us: they clear the mind and make the heart happy. Together we discover the joy of movement and strengthen body and mind.
